Last week, members of our technical team headed to the University of Hull to attend and exhibit at the 23rd EIG conference.
This three-day event saw a successful turnout of industry leaders and early-career professionals, providing a platform for networking and the exchange of valuable insights in applied geology within the UK mineral industry.
As part of the event, we heard from keynote speaker Ruth Allington along with a range of industry experts, including some of our own!
On day one,
Mairi Teasdale delivered an engaging presentation during the back to basics session chaired by our Principal Hydrogeologist
Chris Woodhouse, who also gave a talk on how to overcome abstraction licensing challenges.
With a variety of thought-provoking presentations, inspiring speakers, social events, and even field trips, our team had plenty to engage with.
Principal Hydrogeologist/Hydrologist Lee Clarke shared his thoughts:
“It was great to return to the EIG Conference this year alongside colleagues from across the Envireau Water team! There was a fantastic line-up of speakers and sessions to help develop our understanding of current and future trends, innovation and best practice within the extractive minerals sector.
It was also a great platform to showcase the expertise and services we offer at Envireau Water to support clients in this industry.
Mairi's talk in particular received excellent feedback, and we are all extremely proud of her accomplishment!"
