International Day of Women and Girls in Science

February 11, 2021

There are no biases or gender stereotypes at Envireau Water; with women making up 50% of our technical team, we value the diverse range of knowledge and skills that make us a trusted and strong consultancy within the water management industry.

Why is this important to us?

The study of natural sciences is paramount to understanding the earth that we live on and industries we develop, after all #EverythingIsBuiltOnGeology. That is why we are passionate about encouraging the uptake of STEM subjects, using our platform to show young professionals how fantastic a career in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Geology and Geoscience can be!

Though there has been a decline in uptake of the natural sciences over a number of years, the notion that only 5% of women study natural sciences globally has enthused our talented professionals to pull together the reasons they love their chosen subject…

Whilst our focus is on the natural sciences, we also wanted to take the time to celebrate the critical role women have played in the fight against Covid-19 across all the STEM subjects.
