Are You Prepared for the Reservoir Emergency Planning Direction?

June 2, 2021

As an owner and undertaker of a large, raised reservoir, it is now a legal requirement following ministerial direction to prepare an on-site emergency flood plan.

A well-designed plan will set out a procedure that aims to prevent, control, and mitigate an uncontrolled escape of water. With set requirements to fulfil within the flood plan, our surface water specialists will provide the knowledge required to meet the expected standard and get it readily approved by your appointed engineer.

By understanding the risk factors and triggers that initiate a failure or flood, and by bringing together knowledge of the risk to surrounding areas, our surface water team will help you to achieve a resilient emergency flood plan. Take a read of our bulletin below to find out more.
