A Year of Validation Success

December 2, 2019

January 2018 brought about significant changes to the abstraction licensing regime, which affected abstractions, amongst others, for quarry dewatering, trickle irrigation and those in geographically exempt areas.

The changes to the licensing system meant that many of our clients needed to submit a Transitional Arrangements Application for a new licence, which once validated would enable them to continue operations as usual. The deadline to submit a valid application is 31st December 2019.

Our licensing team have worked tirelessly throughout the year to gain successful validations for our many and varied clients. Here’s an idea of what we’ve achieved:

Envireau Water is the UK’s leading independent abstraction licensing and water management specialist. Where applications are complex, we can utilise our understanding of regulations and water resources management, together with our long established relationships with regulators to push boundaries and deliver. Read more about how we did exactly that and achieved the only trans-boundary validation here.

As the saying goes, “If Envireau Water can’t get you an abstraction licence, nobody can!” Something to consider given that you may now be required to submit an application for “New Water”.

Make use of our free online Bulletins to see where you stand with regards to licensing now or in the future, or get in touch with James Dodds to discuss an application on 01332 871871 or James@envireauwater.co.uk.
