About the Role



Envireau Water is looking for a Senior Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant who is experienced in the management, coordination and delivery of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies and to be able to direct and lead teams on technically complex projects for a range of clients. You will get involved with a wide variety of projects across a range of sectors

.

You will need to have UK consultancy experience and have a good working knowledge of the national planning regulations in England, Wales and Scotland (NPPF, TAN15 and NPF4). A core part of the role will be communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulators and preparing clear, concise and technically accurate reports using independent and third-party datasets.



Qualifications and Experience



Required:


  • Bachelor’s or a postgraduate degree level qualification in , Hydrology, Civil Engineering Geography or Environmental Management


  • A minimum of 4 years industry experience.


  • The ability to write clear, concise, and technically accurate reports using independent and third-party data sets.


  • Experience of using Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage or other drainage design software.


  • Experience of undertaking hydrological calculations using FEH, ReFH2 And other similar tools and software.


  • GIS experience using software such as ArcMap, QGIS, or MapInfo.


  • Knowledge of UK planning regulations.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to clients and support them with their decision making.


  • A valid and full UK driving licence.



Desirable:


  •  Ability to use AutoCAD or similar CAD software packages.


  •  Experience of using hydraulic modelling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW and HEC-RAS.


  • Experience of preparing Land Drainage Consents and Flood Risk Activity Permits (FRAPSs).



The Package



  • A salary in the region of £35,000 to £40,000 with a higher salary potentially negotiable.


  • Permanent contract, working 40 hours per week within Monday to Friday.


  • Available office working locations: Melbourne, Derbyshire
