Rebecca Joins CIWEM!

October 18, 2019

We’re pleased to announce our hydrologist Rebecca Haw has become a member of the Chartered Institute for Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).

Becoming a member of the CIWEM requires candidates to provide evidence of their competence and experience in their professional field. Being a member means being part of a wider community of experienced professionals. CIWEM actively help their members to progress throughout their careers and beyond. They provide members with the knowledge and guidance they need to succeed.

With over three years experience in environmental consultancy Rebecca spends most of her time here at Envireau Water working closely with the other members of the surface water team tackling all of our client’s surface water needs. From completing flood risk assessments to hydraulic modelling to regulatory permitting and licensing Rebecca has been involved with many projects since she joined us back in 2018. Recent projects include abstraction licensing for irrigation systems previously exempt from licensing, hydraulic modelling of flood risk impact to and from a housing development, and surface water drainage design for industrial developments.

Rebecca on joining CIWEM:

“I’m really happy that I have achieved this recognition for my time so far working in the industry. CIWEM membership adds value and recognition to my achievements. I am looking ahead at continuing my professional development whilst working towards chartership. Envireau water have helped me develop my skills while I’ve been with the company, and it’s great to have the support of CIWEM too. I look forward to helping the company grow as I bring my expertise to the team.”
