Lewis Miles: One Month at Envireau Water

March 15, 2022

Lewis joined us at the beginning of February as a Hydrogeologist and has since been learning the ropes. He has been visiting numerous sites across the country, getting involved in a host of projects and learning lots! We caught up with Lewis to see how he’s getting on.

“It’s been a busy and exciting start at Envireau Water, and I’ve enjoyed putting my theoretical knowledge into practice for clients across all of Envireau Water’s sectors. I’ve been getting to grips with borehole monitoring installations, which has taken me right across the country. I have enjoyed working at different client sites; it really helps break up the working week in the office and at home."

Lewis has been working alongside his mentor, Stephen Craig, Principal Geologist as he builds his experience and technical knowledge. As well as carrying out site work, Lewis has been analysing and preparing reports for clients.

“Having the opportunity to develop relationships with clients is fantastic. It provides a sense of achievement, and you can directly see and understand the impact you are making to the client’s business.”

After just one month at Envireau Water, Lewis is a real asset to our team and has some exciting projects coming up.

“I will imminently be starting a new project that involves the development and construction of a new borehole for a private water supply system. I’m excited to be involved from the start of the project and to be able to see it through to completion. It will be full of learning opportunities for me, which are especially important at the start of my career.”

Beginning a career with Envireau Water offers many opportunities for development and growth, providing exposure across a range of sectors. With our move to the RSK Group in November 2021, we are in a period of exciting growth and with that comes many opportunities for us as a business as well as for everyone in our team.
