Hydrogeologist

I am based in the Scotland office, having joined Envireau Water in July 2023.

I studied a BSc in Geology at the University of Glasgow and specialised in hydrogeology during my MSc at the University of Strathclyde. During my MSc I produced my dissertation on ‘Applying the lessons learnt from site characterisation of existing deep saline aquifer carbon sequestration projects to the UK market’ where I could apply my skill set to a different and forward-thinking sector.

Katy had previous consultancy experience primarily working on contaminant hydrogeology and large infrastructure projects producing contaminant loading models, groundwater monitoring and HRAs. At Envireau Water, Katy primarily works within the distilling and drinks industries, specialising in the management and delivery of water supply projects. Recently, Katy played a key role in redesigning the abstraction system at a major distillery site to enhance sustainability through improving energy efficiency and reducing costs.
