Channel Realignment Design

August 6, 2020

Our client required evidence to discharge a planning condition to ensure there would be no increased flood risk.

Achieving planning permission or planning discharge conditions can be complex especially when considering flood risk. Our surface water team use hydraulic models to not only provide a more in depth assessment of flow pathways, flood extents and flood risk but also to convey complicated information in a simple and easy way to understand.

The team’s extensive knowledge allows us to design natural channels that fit with local geomorphological settings to ensure there is no increased risk in flooding or erosion that would notably impact on the stream and environment.

Take a look at the case study to read more about one of our recent projects. If you require more information or advice get in touch with our technical lead LeeClarke@envireauwater.co.uk to see how we can help.
